Potato cakes are one of the best l have had. I was disappointed in the fish as l asked for flake and they gave me a substitute fish. I ordered via phone and kept driving.

The Ageing Frog’s Fish Bar is hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The potato cakes were next level — thick, perfectly golden, and incredibly crunchy. Every bite was just amazing. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere nearby. Absolute gem of a spot!

Ageing Frog offers classic fish and chips with a twist right on the Beechworth main street. Medium chips are $11 and were perfectly crispy. Loads of contemporary menu items including fish burgers . Friendly prompt service ready in 5-10 minutes.

Surprisingly good fish and chip. Don't let the shop front fools you, despite the classic looking frontage this fish and chip place actually delivers really great dish. Their selection is quite vary but we ordered the usual flake both fried and grill. Im glad to say that not only they really generous with the serving but the fish is really really fresh. Potato cakes also very very well cooked, this is the first time I saw this style of potato cakes which is different than your regular fish and chip shop. Chips are also nice and crisp again their chips is just different, fresh and tasty. The only think that I'm not a fan of is their stuffed mushrooms. Perhaps it's my tastebuds. Would I recommend it? Absolutely yes.

Delicious thick potato cakes. Generous portions as we ordered 3 and got extras. Young lady on the front register was lovely and doing a great job during lunch rush. Was about a 20 min wait as very busy.

Best fish and chip shop i’ve ever been to! been here twice now on holidays and both times the food has been incredible! the home made chicken nuggets are the best, made with real chicken breast and so crispy, they even gave us extra nuggets. chips are perfect cooked. staff are so friendly!
